The UDIRC 1005 is a 1/10th scale Ready To Run (RTR) radio controlled 2/4wd radical muscle car that I will be reviewing in depth in this article. An evolution of the popular UDIRC 1003, the UDIRC 1005 builds on the success of the 1003 and 1004, giving it a more aggressive look, a better interior, and more features.
UDIRC's 1/10th scale 1005, released in early 2024, was largely a resounding success - it was well made, had excellent components, was fast and durable. As its popularity grew, a plethora of upgraded parts appeared, and people like me took it a step further by modifying the brushless system to experience the drifting fun of this road-going muscle car, even capable of running at speeds of 80-100mph.The 1005 is the subject of this review. Here, I will detail the improvements in these areas and provide feedback on the car's performance, handling and durability, as is typical of car reviews.

What is included in the pack?
Pretty much everything you need to get running (and nothing else) is in the box except for the 4 x AA batteries you need to power the transmitter. Specifically you will find:
- The car itself loaded with all electronics including combination receiver-ESC and HOBBYWING brushless motor to power it.
- The 2.4GHz transmitter with adjustable steering trim, throttle trim and throttle dual rate.
- A surprisingly good 2s/3s battery.
- A USB powered charger for the battery. If you have a more than a passing interest in RC I'd recommend looking at a better charger as per this guide.
- Instruction manual.
The product is well packaged and even if the package is abused I'd expect the car and main components to still arrive in good condition.
